This photo was taken on Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County, California. It overlooks the Pacific Ocean as the sun is setting; I caught the reflection of the light off the water. The refection at first glance looks like a beam is shining straight down onto the water and not shooting itself off the water. It makes me think of all the previous generations of people that saw this same light and saw a holiness to it and yet I see the wonder of light waves. Light, like life, is all about perspective.
