This isn't the best picture, but I took it when I noticed the sunlight coming in through the window into my kitchen. I love the texture the trees, the window shutters and whatever else is in the way create onto the light. It looks like a gobo, and I wonder what gobo could help create such a natural feel like this. I am one of the choreographers attempting to have my piece selected for Physical Graffiti and I have been looking all over for inspiration and ideas for my piece. Especially for the lighting design, since I'm learning more each class how important it is in driving the mood/story of a piece.

Nice image. Complex texture can be created so easily in life but sometime not as easily in theatrical lighting. This particular look would take a few lights with varying texture. I am so glad that you are getting inspiration from lighting. If your piece gets in, let me know, and I will put you in touch with your LD early on.
